Is this spying on my child?
No, and we designed against it. You see where they are now and whether they got somewhere safely. We don't keep a permanent breadcrumb trail, and older kids can see exactly what you can see.
Where does it work?
Anywhere with 4G across the US and Canada — the SIM is inside and already paid for. Indoors it falls back to Wi-Fi positioning, so you still get a room-level answer at school or in a shop.
How can it really be free after I buy it?
Ten years of data on one device costs a few dollars a year, and we build it into the purchase price. Others charge $10 a month for the same data because they can. That's the whole trick.
Will my kid actually wear it?
It looks like a watch, not a tracker, and it calls the five people you approve — which is the part children like. If they won't wear it in the first 30 days, send it back.
What if you go out of business?
Fair question for a hardware company. Data access for every device sold is pre-funded for ten years and held separately from operating cash, so the devices keep reporting regardless of what happens to us.
